Yoga – a way of life

I started practising ashtanga yoga in the year of 2003, and since then I have become more aware of the impacts it has had on my life.

Having a good health is a thing that nobody can make it better for me. I have to take a responsibility of my well-being and I am not able to maintain it by taking pills. Even the doctors cannot help me much, if I have a stiff neck or my back is aching. I might get a momentary relief in the hands of a masseur, but if I do not take care of myself after the treatment, the same old aching might return in no time.

By practising yoga regularly, I have learned to become more familiar with a human anatomy.
Own observations and experiences have taught me the most knowledge about my physics. What perhaps seemed to be an almost impossible asana (=position) in the beginning, has now turned out to be a more reachable one. The body has  begun to open up and rotate in many new ways. These observations and experiences are also helping me with treating the other people.

One of my aims in life is to travel to the origins of yoga, India, every year. These journeys have given me a lot of new ideas and energy. A regular practice, the warmth of the sun and auyrvedic treatments have nourished my body, leaving me feeling good about myself. I highly recommend everyone to escape from the daily routines whenever it is possible and just concentrate on one’s well-being.
